Sven Kälin

Sven Kälin advises national and inter­national compa­nies, as well as indi­viduals in tax and le­gal matters. His main services include advising pri­vate indi­viduals and corporates in matters of national and inter­national tax planning, tax law enforcement and corporate law. In addition, he supports pri­vate indi­viduals in various civil, public and criminal matters, and in particular in migration law. As a specialist for Japan and East-Asia, he has a vast knowledge of the economic, political and cultural conditions there.

As a lawyer he also handles his clients litigation matters in the fields mentioned above.

Sven Kälin studied Japanese economic & law and Swiss law at the University of Zurich (BA Japanese Studies) and completed an interdisciplinary degree in Kyoto (Japan) in 2010/11. He finished his studies of law, with a focus on economic and tax law in 2014 at the University of Bern (MLaw).

In 2014, Sven Kälin completed a court practice at the Bern-Mittelland government office, before work­ing as a substitute for two law firms in the cantons of Bern and Schwyz in 2014 and 2015. In 2016/2017 he became a certified attorney at law. From 2016 to 2017, he worked as a tax advisor in the Inter­national Tax Service at Ernst & Young in Zurich before joining GHM Partners AG in 2017.

Sven Kälin speaks German as mother tongue as well as English, Japanese and French.
