Dr. oec. & lic. rer. publ. HSG, TEP
Peter A. Henggeler has been working as a legal adviser at GHM Partners AG since 01 December 2013. His areas of specialization include providing comprehensive consulting services to high net-worth individuals in matters involving international tax and estate planning. As a result of the globalization of the business sector, more and more people are investing considerable assets worldwide. Civil law conflicts often arise when these assets are handed down to later generations. These conflicts are caused by family problems as well as differing legal and tax systems. Farsighted planning and structuring can help prevent expensive disputes down the road. Peter A. Henggeler started working in his area of specialization at various private banks (Julius Bär & Co. AG, Bank Leu AG [currently Credit Suisse] and Rothschild Bank AG) in 1980. His last position there was Director of Rothschild Trust (Switzerland) AG, where he advised clients primarily from Spain and Latin America.
Peter A. Henggeler was a non-executive member of the administrative court of the Zug Canton from 1989 through 2003 (chamber of administrative and tax law). He studied at the University of St. Gallen (1964 – 1969 and 1973 – 1974). He interrupted his studies from 1969 through 1972 to work at a Swiss company in the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industry in Argentina. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in Boston in 1989.
Dr. Peter A. Henggeler is a German native speaker and is fluent in English, Spanish and French (capable of conducting business transactions in all three of his foreign languages).
