Marco Kuepfer has more than 30 years of experience in Corporate Finance and Treasury functions. He joined GHM in 2016.
From 1992 through 2014 he worked for Philip Morris International where he had global responsibilities for Corporate Treasury, including global foreign exchange and cash management, banking, funding facilities, insurance and risk management, as well as Corporate Finance including debt issuance, share repurchase programs, credit investor presentations and corporate restructurings.
From 1981 to 1992 he held various as Cash Manager and Treasurer as well as Finance Director at Jacobs Suchard. Marco was Managing Director at Jacobs Suchard Finance Zug where he was responsible for corporate cash management, trading & investments, including FX hedging of commodity trading as well as for reporting at corporate level.
Throughout his career he has raised some USD 50 billion in numerous global capital market deals for various Philip Morris entities. He has also structured and led series of share repurchase programs and provided numerous multi billion global and local liquidity arrangements through bank credit facilities or commercial paper programs.
He has also held responsibilities for USD 6 billion in global and local pension schemes, including related investments and asset allocation. As insurance and risk management were centralized, he negotiated and run multi billion global insurance programs, from marine cargo to property damage, business interruption to officer liability structures.
After his commercial apprenticeship he gained his degree as Business Economist. Marco Kuepfer is a German and Italian native speaker and is also fluent in English and French.
